Another women sitting outside under a tree said she got there at 11:58am and the doors were already locked. I had a reservation to pick up my car on Sunday 05.28 at the McKinney location for 12pm. This complaint is for Budget / Avis corporate. The vehicle number that I actually rented and returned is ********. I never even took the first car that they are saying I didn’t return. I have spoke to customer service several times to let them know it was returned.Īpparently, the 2 different car numbers are causing the problem. I have received calls and texts up until today (6/5/23) threatening litigation as the car was not returned. I returned the vehicle around 6:30 am on 5/30/23. This caused them to cross out the original car number and hand write a different car number. When I picked up the rental, I had to wait for the class I reserved to be ready. My rental was to be picked up from Orlando International Airport on 5/26/23 and returned on 5/30/23. On April 30, 2023, I reserved and prepaid for a rental car with Budget. Since Avis did not answer any of my questions and waited 2 months to contact me by regular mail regarding the damages, I would appreciate the Better Business Bureau's help in conducting an investigation as to what happened and to prevent this from happening to anyone else. They advised me to file a claim with my insurance company so I can get reimbursed for the damages. I received a response from Avis on Monday stating, "According to our records, we can confirm that the damage billing was imposed based on the investigation made at your rental location."Īvis sent me another letter on May 23 again telling me I was going to be charged $534.00 for the damage to the glass, along with any other fees if calibration is needed. was the car rented to anyone else after I returned the car why did they wait 2 months to tell me there was damage and only sent me a letter by regular mail why didn't they call me immediately to inform me there was damage to the vehicle what evidence do they have that I was negligent in causing the glass damage I sent an E-mail to AVIS informing them I do not recall there being any damage to the vehicle when I retuned it on March 4. On May 15, 2023, I received a letter from AVIS dated stating they identified glass damage to the vehicle I rented and charged me $534.00. Long story short, Budget refunded me $277.39 on 5/28, The cars are filthy and no-one is even doing a check for damage when you rent the car.
